A friendship,  a collaboration...(French Version)

The ten songs proposed here are the result of a collaboration in the years 2000s between two old friends: M.Mader (Thierry Schollhammer) and Ronnie Bird.

R.B "Mader and I met in the 80's in New York, and there was always a friendly complicity between us.

Mader left for Los Angeles in the mid-1990s to enjoy a successful career as a film composer. From there, he sent me a number of music excerpts and themes, asking me if I’d like to develop some of these into songs.

The cinematic quality of some of these music pieces, suggesting a more thoughtful writing style, more mature and perhaps offering more freedom than generally allowed in the traditional pop formats, I accepted the challenge with much pleasure, realizing that I would no longer be confined to the constraints of having to defend the pseudonym with which I had gained some notoriety in the 60s.

These songs were intended, we hoped, for other potential performers. But somehow, for whatever reasons,  they remained unpublished to this day.

Here are now, finally in this album "The Demos",  the songs we recorded at the time of their inception, me in New York,  Mader in Los Angeles, technological advances of the time making this form of collaboration possible.

My friend Mader finally convinced me after fifteen years to take them out of the drawers ...
